Hello all! Since this is my first post, I'll start with a little bit of introduction.
Ok, I have written several things and then deleted them. How can I tell you who I am? I guess that's why I started this blog, so you will have to learn about me through each post.
Today's first post is a poem - it's been YEARS since I've written a poem. However, I've been meaning to start again because I feel like it will help me sort out all the seemingly heightened emotions running through my brain of late. And yesterday, something happened to me that just threw me over the edge which should not have, so I decided it was time! Here it is:
Pathetic Louise
Slumped and sad
his body oozed sickness
his eyes
deep, dark and empty
begging forgiveness.
He's sorry, really sorry.
He's my dad
he's her, the con artist
he's my husband
he's laughing.
I'm laughing
though my cheeks sting from tears.
